‘Rock me Baby’ versions to vegetate on after a 6.5 earthquake…

Rock Me, Baby has been bouncing around the blues world since its first recording in 1940 by Big Bill Broonzy(left), and has been covered and re-imagined by dozens of musicians of both blues and rock-and-roll fame. The song has crossed genre boundaries and has been recorded by such famous folks as Otis Redding, BB King, and even David Cassidy. While it has been recorded as Rock Me, Rockin' and Rollin', or even All Night Long, the song has remained a standard for blues musicians and rockers for nearly seventy years.

Here are some of my favorites:

Rock Me Baby-BB KIng/Eric Clapton/Buddy Guy/Jim Vaughn

Johnny Winter-Rock Me Baby

Steppenwolf - Rock Me

BB King - Rock Me Baby

John Lee Hooker - Rock Me Baby
