Grass: The History of Marijuana

For all you stoners and non-stoners as well, if you have ever wondered about the history of marijuana and how and why it became illegal and stayed that way in the US and worldwide, I would recommend watching Grass: The History of Marijuana.

“Shotguns” in the Nam where blowing your mind was a common occurance

Woody Harrelson narrates this very interesting and highly informative documentary on the history of US law and drug policy regarding the highly controversial substance cannabis. Highly entertaining and witty with a vast collection of clips and videotapes of politicians, musicians and pot parties. It also includes clips from anti-marijuana propaganda films including Reefer Madness. Grass moves along at a good pace and doesn’t get too carried away with pro-cannibus propaganda, Grass sticks to the facts. There is a lot to the plant that has not been included, as the film focuses around the efforts made by the US government and its faulty war on drugs, but Grass is a great marijuana history documentary anyone can enjoy.  5 lighters up!
