Forest Gump to Rick Santorum: ‘Stupid is, as stupid does’

Stupid is, as stupid does” – Forest Gump

Saint Santorum is so stupid that he… (fill in the blanks, there’s plenty examples to choose from)

His latest stupid stunt was to pull out the ObamaCare Boogeyman and parade it around for a bunch of drooling GOP voters in Chesterfield, Mo.

"You know what people are going to be talking about this week and next week?" Santorum asked the crowd of a few hundred on Friday. "Obamacare. Why? Well, the Congressional Budget Office this week just came out with their new numbers. And I know you're gonna be shocked to hear this, but it's twice as expensive as what President Obama said."
This comment provoked a loud “Oh my God” from someone in the audience along with a host of other angry murmurs. Santorum went on to spend more time talking about healthcare than any other topic during his speech, and he hammered Obama using the CBO's numbers. "Believe it or not, remarkable," he said. "It's almost 2 trillion dollars over the next 10 years."

Santorum's twice-as-expensive claim is "absolutely untrue," according to FactCheck.org, a project for the Annenberg Public Policy Center.

"We wouldn’t blame anyone for being confused by the CBO report," FactCheck.org noted in its analysis, but it pointed out that the bill's cost is now, by a more accurate count, "about half a percent lower than originally estimated" — not twice as high. FactCheck.org says the confusion comes from an "an inappropriate apples-to-grapefruit comparison" seized upon by Republican lawmakers "misquoting" the CBO's report.”  (source)

Sanctimonious has been rocking Mitt “Richie Rich” Romney world with comparisons of the health plan he instituted in Massachusetts, to ObamaCare.

Now, he’s apparently decided to abandon any attempts at using facts to make his argument and is forging forward – a stupid man out of touch with realty, but hoping rhetoric will somehow win the day for him.

The only way that would happen, is if no one but extreme conservatives voted for a new president. The majority of Americans would have to sit on their hands and watch the charade without participating.

Hopefully, the current climate of disgust with politicians won’t keep the majority of Americans from the polls this November. Can you imagine Santorum for President?!!!!
