Americans should take note on what a great voter turnout Libya had. If we cared as much about the outcome as they do, our democratic process would benefit.
Lucky Libyans flocked to the polls for the first national elections since Muammar Qaddafi seized power in 1969.
Voter turnout was 60 percent — higher than in any U.S. presidential election in the last 40 years — to pick from 3,000 candidates and 142 political parties.
We also hear that Gadhafi himself is having his own problems adjusting to the transfer of power.
