Bachmann out of touch with GOP and reality

Here we go again.

Bug Eye Bachmann opens mouth, inserts both feet.

"You want to know why we have an Arab Spring? Barack Obama has laid the table for an Arab Spring by demonstrating weakness from the United States of America," she said. "The No. 1 duty of the president is to be the commander-in-chief."

Well golly… senior Republican and former presidential candidate, Senator John McCain, R-Ariz., who is leading a delegation of Republican lawmakers to Libya this week thinks just the opposite:

Speaking in Tripoli on Thursday, he said the Arab Spring-inspired uprising in Libya was "inspiring" people in Iran, Syria and "even in Beijing and Moscow."

"They continue to inspire the world — and let people know that even the worst dictators can be overthrown and be replaced by freedom and democracy," McCain said.

Can you say “out of touch” with reality?

While several factors have contributed to Bachmann's reversal of fortune (including Rick Perry's entrance into the race and more gaffes by Bachmann), another reason has received less attention: a lack of outreach.

In interviews with NBC News, GOP officials and Tea Party leaders say that Bachmann has not seized opportunities to engage voters in key states -- including Florida and New Hampshire; in fact, she hasn't visited the Granite State since June 28.

I think I hear the fat lady singing for Bug Eyes!
